Biography:

Hanzo Shimada first appeared in the video game Overwatch, released in 2016.

He is a damage hero, a skilled archer and assassin from the Shimada clan of Japan.

In Overwatch lore, Hanzo is the older brother of Genji Shimada. He believed he killed Genji after the latter refused to take over the family's criminal empire. This act burdened Hanzo with immense guilt, leading him to abandon his clan and embark on a path of self-imposed exile and redemption.

Hanzo's abilities in Overwatch include firing arrows with precision, using a sonic arrow to reveal enemies, and unleashing a powerful spirit dragon strike.
